A whole summer with City Slickers!
As the film opens on, I swear, the theme song to 'Oklahahoma!" we meet George and Betty, city slickers extraordinaire who spend a whole summer with Uncle Jim, Aunt Helen and their kids on their dairy farm. 2 of the 3, Andy and Jane, are at least normal somewhat, but the introduction to the other kid, Bill is introduced while cleaning cow udders which is.. a.. bit.. scary.
Soon the boys are doing farmchores! tending the garden, feeding cows, minding the baby animals etc. The girls of course, stay indoors to help Aunt Helen most of the time.
Very very light and reccomended.
Bonus point, watch the awkward rope climbing scene. It seems obvious they're being lifted up or something..

Uncle Jim's Dairy Farm
Another rainy-day film, this is about two city kids who spend the summer on Uncle Jim's dairy farm. They do lots of wholesome chores, have lots of wholesome fun, and consume lots of wholesome food. I'm not sure what the point of all this is supposed to be, other than to give kids a positive feeling about the dairy industry.
Ratings: Camp/Humor Value: ***. Weirdness: **. Historical Interest: ****. Overall Rating: ***. Also available on Mystery Science Theater 3000, Episode #607: Bloodlust.
